2006 was a year of continuous success, and 2007 is almost completely booked! Highlights of 2006 include my directorial debut at the Texas Shakespeare Festival with an “engaging, uproarious” production of Moliere’s The School for Husbands. Just 2 hours east of Dallas, this festival attracts some of the finest early-career classical actors in the country.
In the fall of 06, I took on revitalizing the debt-ridden Children’s Theatre of Madison by serving as Producing Director, and directed a critically acclaimed and financially successful production of A Christmas Carol. I will be continuing with CTM this spring as Producing Director and directing To Kill A Mockingbird.
2007 includes return directing engagements at Texas Shakespeare Festival (Othello), and at Children’s Theatre of Madison (A Christmas Carol). February is booked with directing the world premiere of A Crooked Man by Richard Kalinoski (Beast on the Moon, Between Men and Cattle) at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with guest AEA actor Danton Stone. Private acting and audition coaching continue as well.
I am currently open for directing projects beginning January ‘08, and I am without geographical restrictions. My “Top 10” list includes Richard III, The Merchant of Venice, and King Lear; O’Neill’s A Moon for the Misbegotten; Miller’s All My Sons and The Crucible; Euripedes’ The Bacchae; Lisa Loomer’s Living Out; David Hare’s Stuff Happens; and almost anything by Lee Blessing or Steven Dietz.
